yes they both struggle in their life because evelyn was a deaf lady and it was very difficult for a deaf person to become a musician and it was also a great difficulty for ustad bismillah khan to become a shehnai player because on that time it was very difficult to play shehnai at any other occasions rather than in temples or in marriages. Bismillah khan invented new ragas which people think taht it would be beyond shehnai to play that ragas
