Concentration of population is dependent upon some geographical and economic features of a state, some of the reasons are :
1. in India the population is concentrated in northern plains where there is a rich supply of fresh water.
2. Industrial area also attracts population as it ensures employment.
3. Well connectivity to other and major cities by the means of roads, railways or airways; is responsible for population concentration.
