The load distribution between the front and rear axle of a motor vehicle weighing 1400 kg is that

53% of the total load is taken by front axle. The width of the track is 0.14 m and the distance between

centres of spring pads is 0.066 m. Design a suitable I-section for the front axle assuming that the width

of the flange and its thickness are 0.5 and 0.25 of overall width and the thickness of the web is 0.2 of

the width of the flange. Assume a working stress of 915 kgf/cm2​
