  • It depends upon the percentage of the drug bound to the plasma proteins.
  • Depends upon the apparent volume of the distribution i.e. 'VD' and desired drug concentration in plasma.
  • Depends on the total body clearance (CIT) of the drug.
  • Also depends on the area under the plasma drug concentration versus time curve (AUC).
  • The dose rate needed to maintain the concentration within the window and would produce toxic concentrations if given in repeated dosed.
