Dear Sir: I am writing to you to express my concern over the issue of the decision of pulling down of the 17th-century haveli in our locality.  It is one of the few public monuments in our city as stated above, and that is terribly dilapidated. What shocks the most is the decision by the civic authorities to pull it down instead of conservation. These monuments are not only the invaluable symbols of our past civilization but also a very rich source of earnings for the tourist attraction as well as the national economy. The economy created by these monuments support the lives of many local people promote tourism, art, festivals, and other activities which draw investment, revenue, and economic growth. I, therefore, appeal through the medium of your esteemed daily to the concerned authorities to look into the gravity of the situation and to be restraint from turning down of the Haveli.
