The log of heat did not catch fire easily whereas oil and paper did. Why?​

Answer:

The ignition temperature required by paper to catch fire is low. So, paper by itself catches fire easily. When the same paper is wrapped around an aluminium pipe, it does not. This is because aluminium being a metal is a good conductor of heat and absorbs the heat energy.
