Let the shortest side of the triangle be x

shortest side = x
longest side =3x
third side = 3x-2

the perimeter of the triangle is 61cm

thus , 1st side + 2nd side + 3rd side = 61
x + 3x. + 3x-2 = 61
7x - 2 = 61
7x = 61 +2
7x = 63
x = 63/7
x = 9

shortest side = x = 9cm
longest side =3x = 3(9) = 27cm
third side = 3x-2 = 3(9) -2 = 27-2 = 25 cm
