The longest side of a right triangular field is 90 m and one of the remaining two sides is 54 m

By Pythagoras Theorem

c² = a² + b²

90² = 54² + b²

-b² = 2916 - 8100

(i)    area = \frac{1}{2}bh

area = \frac{1}{2}×54 × 72

area = 27 × 72

area = 1944m²

(ii)    Cost of laying grass per m² = ₹12

1944 × 12

= ₹23,328
