Hi

I have calculated the band gap of my visible-active photocatalyst using tauc's method. The calculated band gap was 2.86. According to the following equation, I have calculated the wavelength which is corresponding to that band gap:

Wavelength(in nm)=1240.8/Energy(in eV) = 433.57 nm

as we know the relationship between energy gap and wavelength is inverse hence what we can do is that build  a relation i.e. shown below

Step-by-step explanation:

Eg1=1.12ev , lambda 1=1.1 micro metre and  wavelength(2)(lambda 2)= 0.87 micro metre

step 2-Eg1 / Eg2 = wavelength 2/ wavelength 1

thus after putting these values in above formula is

1.12/x=0.87/1.1

answer= 1.416 ev
