Answer:

Cost Price of 1 item = Rs 90

Step-by-step explanation:

The loss of 10 things to sell in 720 RS is equal to the purchasing value of the 2 goods, then find the cost price of 1 item

Let say Purchase value/Cost Price of an item = C  Rs

Lest say Loss on selling each item = L Rs

Selling Price of each item = Purchase Value - Loss

= C - L  Rs

Loss on selling 10 items = 10L

Purchase value of 2 items = 2C

=> 2C = 10L

=> C = 5L

Selling Price of 10 items = 10 (C - L) = 720

=> C - L = 72

Putting C = 5L

=> 5L - L = 72

=> 4L = 72

=> L = 18

C = 5L = 5 * 18 = 90

Cost Price of 1 item = Rs 90
