The lost child deals with the psychology of young children who are often fascinated by colourful and new things. The curious nature of the child can be clearly seen by his want for sweets, garlands, a ride on the mary-go-round, the snake charmer's music and other events. But when he lost his parents he panicked as any child would on being lost and in fear he forgot all the things he had been longing for and just wanted his parents back. Even the child chasing the butterfly is an event which clearly shows fascination and curiosity to discover new things.
