Answer:

Find the GCD (or HCF) of numerator and denominator

GCD of 24 and 36 is 12

Divide both the numerator and denominator by the GCD

24 ÷ 1236 ÷ 12

Reduced fraction: 23

  • As per the data given in the question, we have to reduce to the lowest term of number.

        Given data:-

        To reduce to lowest term.

        Solution:-

  • We have to find the Hcf of numerator and denominator of 24 and 36  will be.

          \Rightarrow 24=12\times2\\\Rightarrow 36=12\times3.

          So, the Hcf will be 12.

        Then, we have to divide the numerator and denominator by the hcf. we

         get,

         \Rightarrow \frac{24\div12}{36\div12}=\frac{2}{3}

        Hence, \frac{24}{36} simplified to reduce the lowest term is \frac{2}{3} .
