The lungs alveoli are covered with blood capillaries..give reasons

Alveoli is filled up with oxygen rich air present inside the lungs and covered with blood capillaries so that there could be exchange of Oxygen and Carbon dioxide from blood coming from heart and the de oxygenated blood get changed into oxygenated.
