The lungs perform 2.4J of work during each expansion. How many times per minute do they expand if their power is 2W?

Given : P = 2W,

Work during each expansion = 2.4J,

time = 1 min = 60 sec.

=) Work = Power * time

= 2 * 60 = 120J

No of expansions per minute = 120/2.4

= 50.

Hey !!!

Answer :-

As we know ,

P = 2W

Work during expnaison of lung = 2.4J

As we know , one minute (T) = 60 secs

>>Work = Power x Time

>>2 x 60 = 120 J

Now,

Expansion per minute = 120/2.4

=> 50

Hope this helps ^^
