Your answer :

This happens due to oxidation reaction. Aluminium utensils, which are used for a long time lose their luster due to the formation of a thin layer of aluminium oxide (Al2O3) on their surface.

Hope that helps

Answer : It happens because of formation of aluminium oxide layer on utensils.

Explanation:

1 ) Metals like gold , iron , aluminium etc has very shinning appearance.

2) Air Contain moisture or you can say water and oxygen.

3) Aluminium undergoes an oxidation reaction when exposed to air.

4). Due to this reaction, a thin layer of aluminium oxide gets formed on the surface of aluminium utensils.

5). This layer of aluminium oxide gives a faded look to the utensils and the lustre is lost in few days.
