MEAN=25
MEMBERS=6
BY MULTIPLYING, WE GET TOTAL=150
AGE OF LEAVING MEMBER=45
NOW THE TOTAL = 150-45=105
NOW THE MEMBERS=6-1=5
I.E. MEAN=105/5=21
MEMBERS=6
BY MULTIPLYING, WE GET TOTAL=150
AGE OF LEAVING MEMBER=45
NOW THE TOTAL = 150-45=105
NOW THE MEMBERS=6-1=5
I.E. MEAN=105/5=21

mean is average so ,mean = sum of age /no.of person
mean is given as 25 years so,mean × no.of person =sum of ages
Hence, the sum of ages =25×6 = 150 years
A 45 years old member leaves ,hence the sum of age will be 150 - 45 = 105 years .
and the no.of persons is now 5,as 1 member leaves .
hence the new mean is 105/5 = 21 years
