Given ,

  • Magnetic dipole moment (M) = 2 A-m²
  • Length of bar magnet (2l) = 5 cm or 0.5 m

We know that , the magnetic dipole moment is given by

  \boxed{ \sf{\vec{M} =  q_{m} \times 2l}}

Where ,

 \sf q_{m}

= Pole strength or Magnetic charge

Thus ,

 \sf \mapsto 2 =  q_{m} \times 0.5 \\  \\\sf \mapsto  q_{m} =  \frac{2}{0.5}  \\  \\\sf \mapsto  q_{m} = 4 amp

The pole strength of bar magnet is 4 amp
