When the image distance is negative, the image is behind the mirror, so the imageis virtual and upright. A negative m means that the image is inverted. Positive means an upright image.

Ans - Stand in front of mirror near it and look to your image.

a) If the image is erect and of same size and size of image does not change even if you forward or backward, the mirror is a plane mirro

b)If the image is erect and diminished one, themirror is a convex mirror.
