The main memory of a computer also consists of ROM (Read Only Memory)and RAM(Random Access Memory). RAM is used to access the user. It can do fast actions. RAM is Nonvolatile in nature.

ROM is inbuilt information of the system, that is not access by the user.

Non volatile means when system power is off, also lost the datas, only do datas are saved in permanently, that can do with the help of secondary memory, that is, hard disk, CD, DVD,etc.
