the main memory of the computer also consists of ROM,,which is non volatile memory.Still the main memory of the computer often referred to as volatile memory. why?

Main memory or RAM is made of volatile memory because it is faster than non volatile memory and if some important or critical data is stored in main memory then it will be automatically deleted when power is off.
