India is a country rich in bio-diversity, but sadly, its wildlife is under grave threat from greedy hunters, as well as degradation of habitat.
Wildlife of India is mostly found in wildlife reserves and the few natural forests. In spite of protection given to the wildlife, poachers still manage to find ways of trapping and killing them. Wildlife is killed for meat or for their body parts which fetches poachers, money in the local and international market. Examples are tusks, tooth, bones, fur etc.
Wildlife wardens and wildlife officers risk their lives, in their fight against poachers, who are armed with modern weapons and communication equipment. The government should provide sufficient funds to the wildlife department, to get the latest weaponry and satellite communication equipment to combat poachers.
