h2co is termed as formal dehyde whereas ch3oh is named as methyl alcohol.
In methyl the hydrogen atoms are well bonded with the oxygen which is thus not present in formaldehyde. Therefore the polarity is greater in methyl alcohol than that of formaldehyde therefore h2co has a higher vapor pressure than ch3oh.
