It is an easy, yet a very calculative and hectic question if you don't have a calculator!(see sol. for the real fun!!)

So, mass of PROTON :- 1.67×10^-27 kg.

Let x be the number of protons needed to make a total mass of 1 g.

Hence, x × (1.67×10^-27)=1×10^-3

…………=> x = (1÷1.67)×10^24

We have to apply estimation technique….

1.666666…×3=4.9999…

=5 (approx.)

So, 1÷1.67= 1÷(5/3)=3/5=0.6

Hence x=6×10^23 protons

So simple…..no calculators required!!
