(c) CH₃I + (CH₃)₂CHOH

Explanation:

The major organic product in the reaction CH₃-O-CH(CH₃)₂ + HI ----> is CH₃I+(CH₃)₂CHOH.  When Ether reacts with HI, an alkyl halide is formed. This alkyl halide is formed from a smaller alkyl group because I- ion being larger in size approaches the smaller alkyl group to avoid steric hindrance. So CH₃I and (CH₃)₂CHOH are formed.

Option C is the answer.
