Alcohols Does not React With - NaBr  

But, When We Add H2SO4 in it,  

It started forming - Alkyl Bromide  

Because on adding H2SO4, Alcohols gives Detonated Ions.  

That Results in the Formation of Carbonation that Readily React with NaBr to form Alkyl Bromide

So, Alkyd Bromide is the Major Product formed by the Action of NaBr H2So4 on Neoprene.
