The man felt better. He asked for something to drink. The king brought fresh water and
gave it to him. By this time the sun had set and the air was cool. The king with the hermit's
help carried the wounded man into the bed and laid him on the bed. The man closed his eyes
and lay quiet. By now the king was tired due to his long walk and hard work. He lay down on
the floor and slept through the night. On waking up he saw the strange bearded man lying on
the bed. 'Forgive me', said the bearded man when he saw the king looking at do not know you
and have nothing to forgive you for,'the king replied. Then the man told the king that the he
was his enemy. He had come there with the intention of killing him.
