Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

The man's age is three times that of his son and twelve years he will be twice as old as his son would be.

let the present age of the son be x

then father's age be 3x

after 12 years age of son = (x+12)

And age of father = (3x+12)

According to the question

3x+12 = 2(x+12)

= 3x+12 = 2x + 24

= 3x-2x = 24- 12

= x = 12

Therefore son's age = 12

And father's age = 3×12

= 36 years

Hope it helps
