Given,

Mass of the man=50kg

He climbed 30 steps in 30 seconds.

Each step is 20 cm high.

To Find,

Power used in climbing stairs.

Solution,

A man whose mass is 50kg climbs up steps of a stair in 30seconds each step is 20 cm High.

20cm=20/100m=0.2m

Height at 30 steps ,

h = 30 × 0.2 = 6 m

We have the formula  for change in potential energy ,

P=Mgh = 50 × 10 × 6 = 3000 J.

So, Work done by the man , W = 3000 J.

We know,

Power, P=Total work done/time

             =3000/30=100W

Hence, the power used in climbing stairs is 100W.
