Answer:

The mean salary of employees is Rs 1333.33

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

No of Managers = 2

No of Cooks = 5

No of Waiters = 8

Monthly salary of a manager = Rs . 3000

Monthly salary of a cook = Rs . 1200

Monthly salary of a waiter = Rs . 1000

To find:

Mean salary of employee = ?

Solution:

Mean salary of employee = Total salary / total no of employees

Total No of employees = 2 + 5 + 8

                                       = 7 + 8

                                        = 15

Salary of 2 managers = 2 * 3000

                                    = 6000

Salary of 5 cooks = 5 * 1200

                             = 6000

Salary of 8 waiters = 8 * 1000

                               = 8000

Total Salary = 8000 + 6000 + 6000

                    = Rs 20,000

Mean salary = Total Salary / total employees

                    = 20,000 / 15

                     = Rs 1333.333
