The manager of a sporting goods store ordered 256 packages of football cards to be shipped to the store.There are 24 cards in each package. How many football cards did the manager order?

No of packages = 256
No. of card in one package = 24

Number of cards in 256 packages
= 256×24
= 6144
-----------------------------
Hence the manager ordered 6144 football cards.

Include both value and unit in solving:

256 packages x 24 cards/package = 256*24 cards = 6144 cards

Note the 'package' unit cancels when multiplying the two values with units since package/package = 1
