managers. In the meeting the managing director said that besides doing their current work efficiently,

going to add an additional producer to its exisiting product line. For the realization of thus objective he
invited suggestions from all departmental heads. The managing director proposed a plan on the basis of

Democratic or participative leadership:

A democratic leader takes decisions after consultation and encourages the participation of subordinates. He decentralizes authority and allows the subordinates to share his power.

b) Other two styles are:

Authoritarian or autocratic leadership:

An autocratic leader exercises complete control over the subordinates. He centralizes power in himself and takes all decisions without consulting the subordinates.

Free-rein or laissez-faire leadership:

It involves complete delegation of authority so that subordinates themselves take decisions. The free-rein leader avoids holding power and surrenders the authority to subordinates
