Given :  The manufacturing cost of an item is 900.

The manufacturer marked up the price of his items by 60% and then sell them at a discount of 10%.

A a consumer buy 10 such items,

GST Rate is 5 %

To Find :  the GST paid by him on the purchased is: (a) 648 (b) 1,000 (C) 71,296 (d) 1,425

Solution:

manufacturing cost of an item is 900.

Mark up = (60/100)900 = 540 Rs

MP = 900 + 540 = 1440 Rs

Discount = (10/100) 1440 = 144 Rs

SP = 1440 - 144  =  Rs 1296

Price of 10 such Items = 10 * 1296  = 12960  Rs

GST rate 5 % = (5/100)12960 =  648 Rs

the GST paid by him on the purchase is Rs 648

Correct option a) 648
