GIVEN :

  • The marked price of a computer = ₹ 32,500

  • After Allowing the Discount = 20%

  • Profit gained = 30%

TO FIND :

  • Find the cost price of the computer = ₹ ?

STEP - BY - STEP EXPLANATION :

=> M.P of a computer = ₹32,500 (GIVEN)

=> Discount = 20%

 =  > 20\% \: of \: rs.32500 = rs. \frac{20}{100}  \times 32500 = rs.6500

S.P of a Computer = M.P Discount

=> ₹32,500 – ₹6,500 = ₹26,000

=> Profit = 30%

c.p =  \frac{100 \times s.p}{100 + profit\%}

 =  >  \frac{100 \times 26000}{100 + 30}  =  \frac{100 \times 26000}{130}  = rs.20000

Therefore, the cost price of a computer = 20,000.
