The marked price of a refrigerator is 25,000 and a dealer buys it at 22,000
While selling it, the dealer gives a discount of 10% on the first 15,000 and 5% on
the remaining 10,000. Calculate:
(i) the total amount of discount in rupees,
(ii) the selling price of the refrigerator,
(iii) profit or loss in percent) made by the dealer.​

(i) 10% of ₹15000 = ₹1,500,

5% of ₹10000 = ₹500

Total discount = ₹2,000

(ii) Marked Price - Discount Price = Selling Price,

₹25,000 - ₹2,000 = ₹23,000

(iii) Profit = Selling Price - Cost Price

₹1,000 = ₹23,000 - ₹22,000

Profit% = (Profit/Cost Price) x 100,

4.545 = (1000/22000) * 100
