In context to questions asked

We have to determine the value of cost price of the watch

As per questions

MRP = Rs 1600

Discount = 10%

As we have the formula for calculating SP

sp =  \frac{100 - d}{100}  \times mrp

So putting the value in above equation

We will get,

sp =  \frac{100 - 10}{100}  \times 1600 \\  =  > sp =  \frac{90}{100} \times 1600 \\  =  > sp = 1440 \: rs

As there is profit of Rs 80

So for calculating the value of CP we will subtract profit from SP

thus we will get

cp = 1440 - 80 = 1360 \: rs
