1600*(90/100)*[(100-x)/100] = 1224, or

100-x = 1224*100*100/(1600*90) = 85, or

x = 100–85 = 15%.

Check: 1600*(90/100)*(85/100) = 1224. Correct.

x = 15 %

$\rm{ = \bigg( \dfrac{10 - 1}{11} \bigg) \times 3500}$

$\rm{=\dfrac{9}{1 \cancel0} \times 350 \cancel0}$

$\rm{ = 9 \times 350}$

$\sf \: SP=\sf{₹3150}$

Tax = 20% of ₹3150

Tax = $\sf\dfrac{20}{100}×3150$

Tax = ₹630

Final amount = SP + Tax = ₹3150 + ₹630
