\red{ANSWER}

Given:

The marked price of an article=3500

GST =12%

Shopkeeper allows a discount

of =20%

and still makes a profit of =10%

Find:

  1. ORIGINAL COST PRICE OF AN ARTICLE
  2. SELLING PRICE INCLUDING GST

SOLUTION

THE MARKED PRICE OF THE ARTICLE INCLUDING GST=3500+12%(GST)

=3920

the shopkeeper allows a discount of 20% but still makes a profit of 10%

because he give discount on the price he bought or marked price without gst which is 3500

so,S.P=3500-20%

=2800

= 2800+12%(gst for consumer/customer)

ANS: SELLING PRICE INCLUDING GST =3136

THE SHOPKEEPER BOUGHT THE ARTICLE FOR=2800-10%(because he makes a profit of 10%)

=2520

The original price of the ARTICLE including Gst=2520+12%

ANS: THE ORIGINAL PRICE OF THE ARTICLE INUDING GST =2822.4
