Answer:

Rs 302.5

Rs 5197.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Marked price is given Rs 5500 .

Discount available is 5 + 1/2 %

= ( 5 × 2 + 1 )/2 %

= ( 10 + 1 )/2 %

= 11/2 %

= 5.5 %

Discount = d% of M.P

= 5.5 % of Rs 5500

= 5.5/100 × 5500

= 5.5 × 55

= 302.5

The discount is Rs 302.5 .

S.P = M.P - d

⇒ S.P = Rs 5500 - Rs 302.5

⇒ S.P = Rs 5197.5

Thus the selling price is Rs 5197.5 .
