the marked priceof an article is rs 900 and the rate of sale tax on it is 6%.if in selling the article at its marked price a retailer has to pay VAT=rs 4.80.find the money paid by him for purchasing this article

6%*900
=6/100*900
=6*9
=54
vat= tax charged-tax paid
4.80=54 -tax paid
tp=49.2
6%*x=49.2
6/100*x=49.2
x=820
820+49.2
=869.2 rupees
