the market price of a pair of jeans ₹2500 the dealer allows a discount of 6% on the case payment if the rate of VAT is 10% find the amount the customer has to pay to the dealer.

Mp = rs. 2500
vat % = 10%
d% = 6%
( calculating vat ) :
=2500 × 10 / 100 = rs. 250
VAT = mp + extra expense
= 2500 + 250
= rs. 2750
( after dis ) :
d % = 6 %
d = d% / 100 × mp
d = 6/100 × 2750
d = rs. 165
sp = mp - d
= 2750 - 165
= rs. 2585
