The mean of the given marks of 12 students is equal to 22.5 .

Mean = Sum of all the observation / Total number of observations

Observations =18 ,35 ,2, 27 ,40 ,0, 21 ,33, 27 ,8 36,23

Sum of all the marks obtained by the 12 students out of 50 = 270

Total No. Of observations = 12

Mean = sum of the marks out of 50 / total no. of students

=> 270/12

=> 22.5
