Solution :-

Marks Number of Students CF

4 2 2

6 4 6

10 8 14

15 12 26

18 3 29

10 1 30

we know that,

  • Median when n is even number = [(n/2)th term + (n/2) + 1 th term]/2

so,

→ n = Total number of students = 30

then,

→ Median = [(30/2) th term + (30/2 + 1) th term]

→ Median = [15th term + 16th term]/2

since , both 15th and 16th students has scored 15 marks .

therefore,

→ Median = (15 + 15)/2

→ Median = 30/2

→ Median = 15 (Ans.)
