Answer:

The marks of 20 students in a test were as follows: 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 13, 14, 14, 15, 15, 15, 16, 16, 18, 19, 20. Calculate the mean, median and mode.

Step-by-step explanation:

As it is an ungrouped data,formulae are not required. Let's see them :-

1) Mean = sum of total value by number of values

=

 \frac{2+6+8+9+10+11+12+13+13+14+14+15+15+15+16+16+17+18+19}{19}

= 12.789

2) Median = The middle value or if it has two middle values then two middle values by two.

(Note :- while deriving median,the values must be arranged in ascending order)

As their are 19 values,the middle value is the 10th one.

So,

M = 14

3) Mode = The most repeated value.

Here,the number 15 is repeated three times. So

Mode = 15

Hope it helps
