The mass and weight of an object on earth are 5 kilogram and 49 Newton respectively what will be there values on the Moon? Assume that the acceleration due to gravity on the moon is 1/6th of that on the earth.

Mass is not dependent on acceleration due to gravity so it will be 5kg
Weight = mass * g
=5*9.8/6
=5*1.3
=6.5N
Weight = mass * g
=5*9.8/6
=5*1.3
=6.5N
