  \huge{solution}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let X is mass of basket

and Y is mass of balls

so 1st equation is

X+3y= 3.64

and

2nd equation is

X+5y=5.26

so we will subtract equation 1st from 2nd

(x+5y)-(x+3y) = 5.26 - 3.64

and we will get

2y = 1.62

It means mass of 2balls = 1.62

and

mass of 1 ball = 1.62/2 = .81

mass of 3 balls: .81 × 3 = 2.43

mass of 5 balls: .81 × 5 = 4.05

mass of empty basket = 3.64 - 2.43 = 1.21

mass of empty basket = 5.26 - 4.05= 1.21

Hope its clear

Mass of basket containing balls = 3.64 kg

Mass of Basket with 5 balls= 5.26kg

If B is the mass of the basket and b the mass of a ball.

B+3b=3.64 and B+5b=5.26.

From above equation we get,

2b=1.62kg

b=0.81kg

Therefore B=3.64-2.43

=5.26-4.05=1.21kg.
