Find - Mass and weight of object on surface of moon.

Solution - Mass refers to amount of matter in the body. The matter remains conserved and hence mass of body will remain same irrespective of the position of body.

Wight of body on moon will vary with respect to earth. Acceleration due to gravity on moon is 1.62 m/s².

Hence, keeping the value in formula of weight, which is equal to, m*g.

Weight of body on moon = 30*1.62

Weight of body on moon = 48.6 kg m/s² or N.

Hence, weight of body on moon will be 48.6 kg m/s² or N.
