Answer:

5.1

Explanation:

density =mass/volume

=>70/13.5m³

=>5.1 kg/m³

relative density=density of substance/density of water

=5.1/1

=>5.1

Given

✭ Mass of the body = 70 kg

✭ When immersed in water it displaces 13500 cm³

To Find

◈ Relative Density?

Solution

Relative Density is given by,

Mass of Substance

Density Of water

  • Mass of the Substance = 70 Kg
  • Weight of water displaced = 13500 cm³ = 1.35 × 10² m

Density of a substance is given by,

Mass

Volume

Substituting the given values,

➝ 70/1.35×10⁻²

➝ 0.51 kg/m³

Now substituting this in the formula to find realative density,

➳ 70/0.15

➳ 140 [Approx]
