Given: Mass of body= 10.1 kg

           Let the possible % error be ± x %.

To Find: Value of x%.

Solution:

Let the actual mass of the body be 10 kg.

Mass of the body with error in measurement= 10.1 kg

Error= Mass with error- Actual mass

       = (10.1 - 10) kg

       = 0.1 kg

Percentage error (x%)= \frac{Error}{Actual Mass} \times 100% %

                            = \frac{0.1}{10} \times 100 %

                            = 1%

Answer: The value of x% is 1%.
