The mass of a copper piece is 44 g. A measuring cylinder contains water to a level of 12 mL. The water level rises to 17 mL mark when the copper piece is dipped in the measuring cylinder. Find: (i) the volume of copper piece and (ii) the density of copper. pls give the steps​

(ii) Density - 8.8 g/ml

Explanation:

(i) Volume : 12ml - 17ml = 5 ml

(ii) The formula for density is the mass of an object divided by its volume. In equation form, that's d = m/v , where d is the density, m is the mass and v is the volume of the object.

Therefore Density :

44g/5ml = 44÷5

=8.8 g/ml
