Given:-

  • Mass of a cylinder filled with gas = 30kg250g
  • Mass of the empty cylinder = 14kg480g

To Find:-

  • How much mass of the gas contained in it

Solution:-

we know that,

 \: \: \sf \: 1 \: kg = 1000g

As given in the question, mass of the gas which filled in cylinder = 30kg250g

Now we will convert gram into kg

 \: \: \: \: \sf \: : \implies \: 30kg250g = 30kg \times \frac{250}{1000} \\ \\ \: \: \: \sf \: : \implies \: 30.25kg

As given in the question, mass of empty cylinder = 14kg480g

Now we will again convert gram into kg

 \: \: \: \sf \: : \implies \: 14kg480g = 14kg \times \frac{480}{1000} \\ \\ \: \: \: \sf \: : \implies \: 14.48kg

After converting gram into kg

Now we will find

mass of the gas contained in the cylinder

= 30.25kg - 14.48kg

= 15.77kg

= 15kg770g
